WHO IS MIGHTY ENOUGH TO WIELD MJOLNIR?

To those that went whadda [colorful adjective here] is a Mjolnir, well it is the hammer that Marvel's Thor, god of thunder, uses to fight bad guys and drive in those irritating nail heads.

To the uninitiated in the world of comicmovie geekiness Thor is an upcoming movie for Marvel Studios, after the success of their Tin Can - Iron Man which proved to be a blockbuster goldmine, the studio is now setting their eyes to their Shakespearian tongued weather deity. Thor who is one/third of Marvel's Trinity (comprised of Iron Man the god the father of military hardware and Captain Americe the god the son of liberty, which leaves Thor as the god the holy [again with the colorful adjective]) will be directed by the reincarnation of Shakespeare himself - Kenneth Brannagh (unusual choice but Marvel likes their surprises hopefully this one don't surprises them more). With a director attached its now time to look for the perfect Goldilocks, and it seems this guy is applying for the job.

I give it to him, he does have the look (well as they say if looks could kill). Personally if this was a perfect world the one I would like to play Thor would be a 7 foot tall Brad"Achilles" Pitt. We have to consider that Marvel is also planning to cross-pollinate their projects so which means that Thor guy would have to face possibly Norton's Hulk and Downey's Iron Man, so he should be able to hold his own against this guys and not look like an overgrown valet attendant. But hey! I would settle for a Brendan Fraser (ooops.... waitaminute.... no need to have those violent reactions... my post... my rules). If still you can't decide who could possibly play Thor then maybe you can. Here is a casting call they have:

Male MUST BE MID-LATE 20'S(might be the only thing you are qualified for) and SIX FEET OR TALLER(nope elevator shoes doesn't count). LEAD.

Physically powerful(yeah right weakling), very handsome(so says your momma), occasionally egotistical(ooops 2 points), petulant(have to wiki this one), and wild(take some rabies shots).
A natural warrior with a quick charming wit who must be genuinely and severly humbled before becoming the compassionate, mature [hero] of our film(hhhmmm.... duh.... aaah.... very nice... how much).

To end this post, borrowing from the words of a great artist - "IT'S HAMMER TIME."

NEW SUPERMAN MOVIE TITLE

Drum roll please.... tandananan.... "SUPERMAN UNLEASHED". So whaddayasay? The first thing that comes to mind is Krypto the Superdog, I'm not sure if that is what they meant about unleashed. Well there's nothing much to say about this topic, because as of the moment, there's nothing much more to say. I'm not even sure if the same team for Superman Return is still doing it or are they going to use Millar's take on it or is the Wachowski's going to direct it. Well, as long as there's no new news I have nothing more to say about the movie.

I'm really hoping that they get it right this time around, Superman Return was a good movie but it was not a good Superman Movie. I'm a big Superman fan though I don't collect any comics about Superman, I don't have the Christopher Reeve movies in my collection, nor I have any Superman memorabilia, I'm just a big fan of the Idea of Superman - his ideals and his character and I have this strong connection/affiliation with the character - I guess that's why my blog is called Big Bleau in relation to Superman's nickname as the Big Blue Boyscout. Mmm ok 'nuff said. Looking forward for a great Superman Film, but however it turns out come movie day I'll be there waiting in the line. UP! UP! and AWAY!

MARLEY AND ME
REVIEW

I enjoyed watching this film as it reflects a lot of truths in our life.  In a lot of scenes I just can't help to feel that the film was directly speaking to me, about the struggles we have at home and work.  At times life tends to overwhelm us and when you think, nothing more can go wrong then enters Marley.  We have these "Marley's" in our life, the things that complicates what is already complicated.  I think that's why, when we fail to do something we blame it to the dog who ate our assignment, we blame it to "Marley".

Though Marley is only a catalyst like any problem it's neither good or evil, it is there to test your character, how you handle the situation, if you either give up or persevere.  That's what I like about the characters in the movie, they are real people, they get angry if they need to, cranky if they have to, impatient at times, just like how you and me will feel in this situations.  Marley does not do a Lassie and make everything good the moment he enters, in fact he tends to worsen it.  But just like in life if you've learned to live with your problems, if you have accepted that it will be there, then you will know how to react, and you will know how to affect change.

The movie was never about happy endings, it was more about the journey, the struggles, the ups and downs of life, and the drama and the comedy of our situations.

Suggestion:
This is a good film to watch, just don't expect the usual Owen Wilson fare, but it is still a fun movie that at times tugs the heart strings.  Marlene(Em my wife) and Me loved it,  so I think married couples with like it and those who's planning to get married can pick up some few pointers.    At the end of the movie you will say to yourself that you would also want a ...labradoodle

MOVIE - Expendables

I'm not sure if you have heard about this movie, the premise is they are a bunch of mercs...mmm... let's just say Rambo and his Superfriends. You can't believe who is in this movie, Of course there is Stallone, then we have Statham, Li, Lundgren, Rourke and now they are reporting the Governator is in it as well (It's like the 80's all over again). I'm just waiting now for Van Damme, Seagal, Chan and maybe you can throw there Norris and they could have this as a Graduation Movie - BADASS GRANDPAS. :)

AINT IT COOL ARTICLE

Hey folks, Harry here... Just got off the phone with... ahem "my source" ahem... who let me know that Arnold Schwarzeggar is going to be playing Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar in THE EXPENDABLES. He will be shooting for one day, and it seems that the Gov and Sly's character Barney Ross have some history back when the Gov was shooting CONAN THE BARBARIAN!

Also - Ben Kingsley is out as the dirty bastard CIA sob, and Eric Roberts is in! Also, Mickey Rourke has finally signed on officially! [Continue Reading from Original Post]

New pic of
JAKE GYLENHAAL
as Prince Dastan the titular Prince of Persia in the new Disney Flick based on that popular video game franchise.

Movies based on video games never had a good track record in hollywood so could this be the one that breaks that streak.  Considering this is produced by Bruckheimer, here's hoping that this is the new "Pirates".

Jake:  WHAT!  This was based on a video game... the producers did not told me that.

Tsk... tsk... PRINCE OF PRESSURE
