MARLEY AND ME
REVIEW
I enjoyed watching this film as it reflects a lot of truths in our life. In a lot of scenes I just can't help to feel that the film was directly speaking to me, about the struggles we have at home and work. At times life tends to overwhelm us and when you think, nothing more can go wrong then enters Marley. We have these "Marley's" in our life, the things that complicates what is already complicated. I think that's why, when we fail to do something we blame it to the dog who ate our assignment, we blame it to "Marley".
Though Marley is only a catalyst like any problem it's neither good or evil, it is there to test your character, how you handle the situation, if you either give up or persevere. That's what I like about the characters in the movie, they are real people, they get angry if they need to, cranky if they have to, impatient at times, just like how you and me will feel in this situations. Marley does not do a Lassie and make everything good the moment he enters, in fact he tends to worsen it. But just like in life if you've learned to live with your problems, if you have accepted that it will be there, then you will know how to react, and you will know how to affect change.
The movie was never about happy endings, it was more about the journey, the struggles, the ups and downs of life, and the drama and the comedy of our situations.
Suggestion:
This is a good film to watch, just don't expect the usual Owen Wilson fare, but it is still a fun movie that at times tugs the heart strings. Marlene(Em my wife) and Me loved it, so I think married couples with like it and those who's planning to get married can pick up some few pointers. At the end of the movie you will say to yourself that you would also want a ...labradoodle
