THOUGHTS IN PROSE
What’s with a certain smile?
T’was a cold dark night but there was a festive mood in the air.
People were laughing and having a good time.
And just out of the blue without a moments notice.
A smile peeked out from a face that triggered distant memories.
Memories so old it has already been forgotten.
The brain tried to reform the puzzle, to solve a mystery of a smile.
All night long a certain feeling lingered, not of sadness or pain
But in some deep sense a certain admiration.
In that festive mood air, in that one cold night,
A warmth felt in my being, a warmth tender and pure.
If that is all that it was, and no more will be added.
That is enough for a memory, a smile hopefully not to be forgotten
